Editorial Review for Zula Restaurant – by Andrea Loera

Clubby, dim lighting, flashy mirrors and far-out banquettes in subtle jewel tones define this upscale casual space in the St. Germain loft condos. Standouts on the New American menu include a generous crab cake appetizer with horseradish aioli. International flavors typify entrees, like the Asian-inspired duck breast, sautéed river trout and smoked pork chop with tamarind onion marmalade. Lunch offers varied sandwiches and entrée-sized salads. Chocolate brownie cake with peanut butter ice cream defines citified comfort food.

BEST ROMANTIC RESTAURANT
Zula Restaurant is probably the best romantic restaurant I've been to. They have good music playing. The tables are covered with white, cotton cloth. The market price fish and steak we had was superb! My husband and I visited Zula for the first time and Wow! we went to the d'town location and it was absolutly WONDERFUL. The service was AWESOME and we had a great time. Our children gave us a gift card to go back because we talked about the place for a week. I think our friends got sick of us. But when they visit " They'll see why "!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK ZULA, WE'LL BE BACK!!!

Awesome Restaurant-
I took my company staff to dinner here a few weeks ago. We all had the most amazing filets ever! I love filet and I love going to different steakhouse in Houston to try them. This is now my top list of favorites. The service was outstanding and the restaurant itself was very welcoming and cozy. Our waiter recommended a delicious dessert to finish off our excellent dinner. It was a great dining experience.

High Class Elegance
I really enjoyed this restaurant. The staff was very attentive but not overly looming. Refer to you as Mr. and Mrs.- Old school courtesy that is much appreciated! The decor was wonderful- Elegance Las Vegas style with modern touches. Great lounge/bar areas. Steak is perfect and side dishes are good. Loved the ambiance and boys boys feel even though as a woman. I felt more than welcome. Clientele was upscale, lots of business dinners and couples. A really nice getaway from the chaos of most Houston Downtown eateries. Overall, I would recommend Zula to anyone!!!
